Your Questions About Buying Chinese Trucks — Answered

How much does a HOWO truck cost?

Prices vary by model and configuration. A new HOWO 6X4 dump truck typically ranges from $25,000 to $45,000 USD (FOB China), depending on engine power, bucket size and options. Reconditioned trucks start from $12,000 to $20,000 USD. Contact us at sales@shandongtk.com for a detailed quotation.

Can you ship trucks to Africa?

Yes. We export to all African countries including Nigeria, Tanzania, Mozambique, Congo, Cameroon, Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and many more. We handle FOB (Free on Board) or CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) delivery to your nearest port. We can also arrange inland delivery through our logistics partners.

What is the difference between new and reconditioned trucks?

New trucks are purchased directly from the Sinotruk or Shacman factory — zero kilometres, full warranty. Reconditioned trucks are quality used trucks that we completely rebuild in our workshop: mechanical overhaul, new hydraulic systems, new paint, new accessories. They deliver 80–90% of new performance at 40–60% of the price.

Do you provide spare parts?

Yes. We supply genuine and OEM-equivalent spare parts for all heavy truck brands: HOWO, Shacman, FAW, Dongfeng, and European brands including Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Volvo, Scania and Renault Trucks. From a single filter to a complete engine kit, we source and ship worldwide.

Can you build a custom truck for my specific needs?

Absolutely — that’s our core business. We build specialised vehicles: crane trucks, fuel tankers, concrete mixers, garbage compactors, refrigerated trucks, water sprinklers and more. Tell us your application and we’ll design and build the right vehicle. We also modify existing trucks: different bucket sizes, reinforced chassis, additional equipment.

What warranty do you offer?

New trucks come with the manufacturer warranty (typically 12–24 months or 100,000 km). For reconditioned trucks, we provide our own Shandong TK warranty covering the engine, transmission and major components. Extended warranty options are available for fleet purchases.

How long does delivery take?

New trucks (factory order): 30–45 days production + shipping time. Reconditioned trucks: 15–30 days reconditioning + shipping. In-stock vehicles: available immediately, shipping within 7–10 days. Shipping time to Africa is typically 25–40 days depending on the port.

Are your spare parts compatible with all major truck brands?

Yes. We manufacture and supply spare parts cross-compatible with all major heavy-truck brands — Chinese (HOWO/Sinotruk, Shacman F2000/F3000/X3000/M3000/X5000/X6000, FAW Jiefang, Dongfeng, Foton Auman, Beiben) and European (Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz Actros, Renault, DAF, Iveco). Send us your truck model and the part reference (or a photo) and we will build to specification. For HOWO/Shacman, we also stock OEM equivalents and aftermarket high-quality alternatives.

What is the difference between HOWO and Shacman trucks?

Both are Chinese heavy-truck brands with strong international presence and overlapping use cases. HOWO (Sinotruk Group) is best known for mining-grade dump trucks, robust 6×4 and 8×4 tippers and the T7H tractor unit — engines: WD615, MC11, MC13. Shacman (Shaanxi Automobile, Weichai engines: WP10/WP12) tends to be preferred for long-haul tractors (X3000, X5000, X6000) and special vehicles with comfortable cabs. We work with both and will recommend the right brand for your operating conditions, route profile and aftersales availability.

What payment methods do you accept?

For international orders we typically accept bank transfer (T/T), Letter of Credit (L/C at sight or 30/60 days), and for some destinations escrow / Alibaba Trade Assurance. Standard terms: 30% deposit on order, 70% before shipment (negotiable for repeat customers and large fleets). For spare parts and small orders, full payment in advance via bank transfer or PayPal is also possible. Detailed terms are confirmed on the proforma invoice.

Do you assist with customs clearance and documentation?

Yes. We provide a complete export documentation pack: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (B/L), certificate of origin (CO/Form A/Form E), CCC certificate and fumigation certificate where required. For destinations where pre-shipment inspection is mandatory (BIVAC, COTECNA, SGS, Intertek), we coordinate the inspection at our workshop. We can also recommend reliable freight forwarders with experience in your destination port.

What types of cabin configurations are available?

Our HOWO range offers HW70 and HW76 cabs in single bunk (day cab) or double bunk (sleeper) versions, with optional high or low roof. Shacman cabs include the F3000, X3000, M3000, X5000 and X6000 series — from compact short-haul cabs to full-size sleepers with refrigerator, LCD entertainment, electric windows and air conditioning standard. All cabs can be ordered in custom RAL colours, with branded livery if needed.

What emission standards do your trucks meet?

We deliver trucks meeting Euro III, Euro V or Euro VI emission standards depending on the destination market. Many African, Central Asian and South American markets accept Euro III or Euro V; Middle East regulations vary by country; European Economic Area requires Euro VI. We confirm the right configuration when issuing the proforma invoice and supply the matching emission certification documents.

Can I see a unit before ordering?

Yes — visits to our Liangshan workshop in Shandong Province are welcome. We can arrange factory tours, walk-throughs of completed builds and test drives. For clients who cannot travel, we provide video walk-throughs, photo documentation at every production milestone, and live video calls with our engineering team. Inspection at shipment can be arranged through SGS / Intertek / BIVAC / COTECNA on request.
